Position Overview
Direct and manage Industrial Technology education program and facilities to meet student needs. Serve as instructional leader in development and improvement of instructional programs in career and technology education. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Position/Assignment Information: Professional/Certified Secondary - Industrial Arts-Vocational Tech Education
Grades: 9-12
Desired Qualifications
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university preferred
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of federal and state code governing career and technology education
Experience:
- Career and technology teaching experience preferred, but not required

Start Date: 01/07/2025
Salary Schedule: SISD salary schedule plus applicable stipends
